The class is held at our beautiful training facility in Mantua, NJ. You will be given the exact address in your confirmation email upon registering.
Your puppy should be between eight (8) and twenty (20) weeks of age at the start of the first classes.
You must bring printed proof that your puppy has had at least 2 DHLPP/DH2PP vaccines and a negative fecal exam for your puppy to attend classes.
Each week's session is one hour long.
Prior to attending your first puppy or basic manners class, you will be asked to attend a “humans” only orientation. This class is important for you because we discuss how your dog learns, training methods, answer all your questions, etc. It gives the trainer an opportunity to meet and talk with everyone while having your full attention.
Please arrive ten minutes prior to class to relieve your puppy and get them calm before the class begins.
Exercise and relieve your puppy prior to class. If class time is near your puppies mealtime, feed only a very small portion of their meal and bring a hungry puppy to class.
Only healthy dogs should attend class. If your dog is ill, please contact us. You may attend that session without your dog.
We know that life happens - that's why we offer you a fair and accommodating cancellation policy. We can only give a full refund or change your registration date if you notify us at least 7 calendar days prior to your first session. A 50% refund is available 2 days prior to your session. No refunds or date changes will be available after that time. You may transfer your attendance to another class if you were able to provide us with 48-hour prior notice You must notify Your Dog and You via email regarding your need to cancel.
No refunds will be given for non-attendance of any class session once class begins. You are responsible to attend all sessions as outlined in the class schedule. Makeup sessions can be scheduled as a private session with your Instructor, however the make-up is charged to you as a one-hour private consultation fee.
Your class materials can be provided to you electronically upon request if you miss a session. At Your Dog and You our classes are limited in attendance size and often will depend on your participation to offer the class and provide you with optimal training. Full refunds will only be given if Your Dog and You cancels the class. We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with your dog and you and look forward to helping you with all your dog’s needs for years to come.
If you must miss a class, the trainer agrees to provide a handout and video demos (when available) for your reference. You must request these via email.
If your dog misses two classes in a six week series, you will be required to re-register and start again. Our groups are designed to build on skills progressively each week and would require substantial one-on-one trainer instruction to bring you back up to speed, which is unfair to the other class participants. We appreciate your understanding.
Neither credits nor refunds are given for missed classes. If your dog is unable to attend class within the first three class sessions due to illness or injury, you will receive a partial credit toward a future class or refund in the amount of 50% of the class fee (a letter from your vet is required). There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.
